Voluntariado transformador en las organizaciones | Carina Raygada | TEDxUniNacionalIngeniería
Passionate about the social sector and a lifelong volunteer, she constantly seeks opportunities to mobilize people and design social initiatives that contribute to transforming the lives of individuals and the country of Peru. A social manager by profession, she dedicated several years of her career to researching the contribution of university social responsibility to the development of rural communities. From 2015 to 2017, she worked in Belcorp's social innovation lab, where they designed two financial inclusion products to improve the quality of life for over one million women entrepreneurs in Latin America. In her quest to better understand the importance of education in communities, she traveled in May 2017 to Barefoot College, one of the world's leading educational NGOs. Her goal was to learn about their Solar Mamas program, which empowers women in rural communities worldwide to become solar engineers in six months, enabling them to electrify their own communities. Upon arriving in Peru, she joined the founding team of the first professional volunteer pilot program at the University of Palermo (UP), which focuses on evaluating the impact of electrification led by two Shayahuita women from the Nueva Esperanza community in Loreto. This year, she also took on the challenge of leading one of the largest corporate volunteer communities in Peru. She works at BCP and has the incredible opportunity to lead an amazing community of over 2,000 volunteers nationwide who are working to transform the country and contribute to various social initiatives and ventures.
