USA vs. Canada vs. Mexico: The Final Currency Smackdown

Welcome to Polar Currency video number 86, USA v. Canada v. Mexico: The final Currency Smackdown of paper money that’s issued today. This is the ninth video comparing paper currency issued by the United States, Cananda and Mexico that each country has issued over the past 100 century. See the description below for the links to the previous eight videos. So how did I get here? In 2020 I started collecting world bank notes and noticed that when it came to Mexico, Canada and the US all three countries currency changed at roughly the same time. Although one country kept the same design for over 60 years. So, I broke down the last 100 years into decade segments. The timelines aligned fairly well except for the 1960s and the 1990s. As before I’ll go through the security features first, which really highlight differences followed by a brief overview comparing each denomination together – which is different from the first videos.
