This 3-minute video was captured in the heart of Tajrish Bazaar, Tehran. An incredible Iranian street musician playing the accordion and singing the famous, nostalgic song "Dard o Nofrin" (Pain and Curse). My two closest, most loyal friends and I stood there, listened to his soulful voice, and cried our hearts out. While I didn't know exactly what made my friends cry, my own tears were flowing because I knew I would soon have to leave Iran again and return to Canada. I was crying because I am deeply in love with my friends, and the thought of leaving them behind and not knowing when I'd see them again broke my heart. The musician's voice perfectly echoed my hidden sorrow—a deep longing for my friends and my homeland.
