TALAS - "Farandole"...2022!

The new TALAS record "1985" is being released soon! In anticipation, Billy, Kire and I joined forces on one more song.... Several months ago Kire asked me about recording a TALAS favorite - "Farandole". I thought it was a great idea, Billy agreed, so Kire and I proceeded to get it started on our end. We were maybe a week into it and Dream Theater released "The Majesty Demos '85-'86", featuring their version of the "Farandole". (   • The Farandole  ) ... the stars aligned! Some may recall that Mike Portnoy & Dream Theater were fans of TALAS back in the day and would come see us play at L'Amour in NYC frequently... A couple versions of TALAS have played this song and Billy has played it hundreds of times with numerous musicians throughout his career. Kire, Billy & I had a blast recording this version which hugs closely to the energy of the live performance! I took some artistic license with the video ;-)...
