Killochan Castle Wedding Day

Annie Mac Photography & Videography From the very beginning, we knew we wanted to invite only close family and a few friends to ensure we could spend quality time with everyone. Killochan Castle was the perfect location for both our ceremony and reception, as it offered an intimate setting ideal for a small gathering. I have always enjoyed spending time there, and many of the guests who stayed at the castle shared that sentiment. Despite the grandeur of Killochan Castle, we made sure to keep the atmosphere relaxed and personal. We focused on incorporating only the formalities that truly mattered to us, instead of following all the traditional expectations. For example, we chose not to have a top table, opting instead for a large, communal table where everyone could sit together and feel connected. It was important to us that the day felt genuine and true to who we are, rather than adhering to conventions that didn’t resonate with us. This way, we were able to create a warm, inclusive celebration that allowed everyone to enjoy each other’s company without any unnecessary formality.
