SPOTIFY: https://spoti.fi/3bgp699 "The Queen is Dead" from The Smiths' "The Queen is Dead" album (1986). First time covering The Smiths! I don't think I've ever revealed this, but I love the Smiths and a lot of New Wave bands from the 80's. I think my favorite song is "The Boy with the Thorn in His Side" though. Anyway, the Songsterr tab looked beyond wrong to me. I knew the tuning was obviously wrong, but I was a bit shocked when I read that Andy often played in standard F#. I don't recommend uptuning your bass to F# as it will most likely pop a string. I'm sure his bass was set up in a way so that F# was a bit healthier for the bass. I recorded this with a capo on the 2nd fret, so the same as Martin Mendez on some Damnation songs. This song really is just one riff, but there are some variations! Five minutes of just one riff can be a bit draining so make sure to not waste all your energy during the first minute. Some important information that nobody is going to read.
