Jeremias 5 Você pode dizer que é um verdadeiro adorador?
Shalom💖 I'm Pastor Ana, and today I bring you a profound reflection! 📖💡✨ Jeremiah Chapter 5 1 Run to and fro through the streets of Jerusalem, and look now, and go up, and search in its broad places, if you can find a man, if there is anyone who does justice, who seeks the truth, and I will forgive him. 2 And though they say, “The LORD lives,” surely they swear falsely. 3 O LORD, are not your eyes on truth? You struck them, but they were not grieved. You consumed them, but they refused to receive correction. They made their faces harder than a rock; they refused to return. 4 Therefore I said, “Surely these are poor. They are fools, for they do not know the way of the LORD, nor the judgment of their God.” 5 I will meet with the great men and speak to them, for they have known the way of the Lord and the judgment of their God. But these have completely broken the yoke and shattered the cords. 6 Therefore a lion from the forest will kill them, and a wolf from the deserts will destroy them; a leopard will watch over their cities. Everyone who goes out from there will be torn to pieces, for their transgressions are many, and their apostasies are greater. 7 How can I forgive you for this? Your children have forsaken me and swear by those who are not gods. When I fed them to the full, they committed adultery and gathered in bands in the houses of prostitutes. 8 They were like horses fed in the morning, each neighing after his neighbor's wife. 9 Will I not visit for these things? declares the Lord. And will not my soul be avenged on a nation such as this? 10 Go up upon its walls and destroy it. But do not make a complete destruction. Remove its battlements, for they do not belong to the LORD. 11 For the house of Israel and the house of Judah have behaved very treacherously against me, says the LORD. 12 They contradicted the LORD and said, “It is not he, nor will evil befall us, nor will we see sword or famine.” 13 And the prophets will become wind, and the word is not in them. Therefore, this will be done. 14 Therefore, thus says the LORD God of hosts: Because they have spoken such words, behold, I will make my words in your mouth a fire, and this people wood, and they shall be devoured. 15 And behold, I will bring a nation against you from afar, O house of Israel, says the LORD, a mighty nation, an ancient nation, a nation whose language you do not know, nor do you understand what they say. 16 Their quiver is like an open grave; they are all mighty men. 17 They will devour your harvest and your bread, which your sons and daughters should eat. They will devour your flocks and your herds. They will devour your vines and your fig trees. They will impoverish your fortified cities, in which you trust, by the sword. 18 Yet in those days, declares the Lord, I will not make a complete destruction of you. 19 This will happen when you say, “Why has the Lord our God done all these things against us?” Then you shall answer them, “Just as you have forsaken me and served foreign gods in your land, so you will serve foreigners in a land that is not yours.” 20 Declare this in the house of Jacob, and proclaim it throughout Judah, saying: 21 Hear this, you foolish and senseless people, who have eyes but do not see, who have ears but do not hear. 22 “Do you not fear me?” declares the Lord. “Do you not tremble before me, who set the sand as a perpetual decree that the sea cannot cross. Though its waves surge, they cannot prevail; though they roar, they cannot cross it.” 23 But this people has a rebellious and stubborn heart; they have rebelled and gone away. 24 Nor do they say in their hearts, “Let us now fear the Lord our God, who gives rain, both the early and the latter rain, in its season. He reserves for us the appointed weeks of harvest.” 25 Your iniquities have turned away these things, and your sins have kept good things from you. 26 For among my people are wicked men. They lie in wait, like one who sets traps. They set snares, they capture men. 27 Like a cage full of birds, so are their houses, full of deceit; so they have become rich, and have grown great. 28 They have grown fat, and they shine; yes, they surpass the deeds of the wicked. They do not judge the cause, the cause of the fatherless. Yet they prosper, and the right of the needy they do not judge. 29 Shall I not visit for these things? says the LORD. Shall I not be avenged on a nation such as this? 30 An appalling and horrible thing is done in the land. 31 The prophets prophesy falsely, and the priests rule in their own way, and my people love to do so. And what will you do at the end of this?
