Comment tester un disjoncteur différentiel et une prise de courant MULTIMETRIX VT35 TESTER

How to easily test the correct connection of an electrical outlet, grounding, and the residual current circuit breaker (RCCB). Chauvin Arnoux. Instructions in French and English: https://www.distrelec.be/Web/Download... Available on Amazon. ✅What is an RCCB: operation and use The main role of an RCCB is to ensure the safety of a home's occupants with regard to electricity. It also acts as a protector of household electrical appliances against electrical overloads or short circuits. Learn all about this mandatory and essential component of a home's electrical panel. ✅What is the purpose of an RCCB? The main role of an RCCB in an electrical circuit is to protect the occupants of the home. It detects unusual voltages, particularly insulation faults, when someone is using an electrical appliance, and cuts off the current to prevent electrocution, for example. This prevents people from coming into contact with electric current in the event of a ground fault. In a safe electrical circuit, all appliances plugged into electrical outlets must be grounded. The residual current circuit breaker (RCCB) also serves to shut off the electrical circuits in the home in the event of an electrical overcurrent or short circuit. The RCCB, as its name suggests, reacts to differences in electrical current between the live and neutral wires of an electrical installation, which can cause accidents and fires in a home. This is referred to as the RCCB's differential sensitivity. This sensitivity, which is particularly high, must be less than or equal to 30 milliamperes (mA) for domestic electrical circuits (according to standard NFC 15-100). This threshold corresponds to the maximum current at which the RCCB trips. In short, the RCCB acts like a main switch. To restore power to a home, simply reset the RCCB. ✅The Different Types of Residual Current Circuit Breakers (RCCBs) There are three types of residual current circuit breakers: Type AC RCCBs: These protect most common electrical circuits in a home, such as lighting and electrical outlets; Type A RCCBs: These protect "specialized" electrical circuits in the home, i.e., those connected to high-consumption appliances, particularly those equipped with electronics, such as washing machines, cooktops, etc.; Type HI, HPI, and SI RCCBs: These are used for household electrical appliances that are sensitive to unexpected power outages, such as computers, refrigerators and freezers, and home alarm systems. An RCCB can be either a single unit or a modular unit. Both are mounted on the metal rails of the electrical panel, called DIN rails. The single unit takes up the space of two to four modules in the panel, while the modular unit is generally used for installations requiring a higher-rated RCCB. ✅Which Residual Current Circuit Breaker (RCCB) do I need for my home? The residual current circuit breaker, also called a residual current branch circuit breaker, is added to the main circuit breaker in a home's electrical circuit. Both are located in the electrical panel. The RCCB is installed at the beginning of a row in the electrical panel, upstream of the branch circuit breakers, whose role is to protect the home's contents from electrical hazards. In a dwelling smaller than 100 m², only one RCCB is required. For dwellings larger than 100 m², three RCCBs are necessary. An RCCB is also characterized by what is called "thermal-magnetic protection," expressed in Amperes (A). This rating is chosen according to the electrical circuit it powers: 10A or 16A for a lighting circuit, 16A or 20A for a circuit of electrical outlets.
