RTP Madeira - Telejornal - Assinatura de Contratos CRIEE

The auditorium of the Regional Secretariat for Inclusion, Labor and Youth hosted the signing ceremony for 10 new incentive contracts for business creation, within the Business Creation and Employment Program (CRIEE). These projects mark a new chapter in the lives of these entrepreneurs who, through the support of the Madeira Employment Institute (IEM, IP-RAM), overcame unemployment to create their own jobs in diverse areas such as Psychology, Beauty Care, Construction Materials Trade, Car Repair, Consulting, Tourism, Civil Construction, Photography, and Cultural Education. Since 2015, the IEM has finalized 608 incentive contracts, resulting in the creation of 1,008 jobs and a total investment exceeding €11.1 million, confirming the effectiveness of these mechanisms in transforming unemployed individuals into promoters of new businesses. These incentives are promoted by the Regional Government and co-financed by the Regional Operational Programs, through the European Social Fund. During the ceremony, the Regional Secretary for Inclusion, Labor and Youth, Paula Margarido, praised the proactivity of the new entrepreneurs in seeking solutions. Reinforcing this vision, the President of the Board of Directors of IEM, Pedro Santos Gouveia, praised the promoters who, faced with a fragile situation, did not wait and found a way out. He also stated that, despite the procedural rigor, the Institute "looks at people as people and not as numbers," guaranteeing agile and human support that transforms ideas into winning projects. The event concluded with a toast to the success of the new businesses and a moment of conviviality among those present.
