#advertisingmaterial Maciej Lutomski wasn't familiar with the fitness industry when he decided to sign a contract to open eight Xtreme Fitness Gyms. How is he coping? Maciej Lutomski had been involved in the construction industry for years. That's how he came across the Xtreme Fitness Gyms brand. He built a retail park where the chain was one of the tenants. "I got to know them a bit from the inside and we decided they were a really great business partner," recalls Maciej Lutomski, a franchisee of Xtreme Fitness Gyms. "That's why we started considering franchising and opening fitness clubs." And although he didn't know much about the fitness industry, he and his partner signed a contract – and that was to open eight clubs. How do you navigate entering a completely new industry? When you sign a franchise agreement with Xtreme (...), they take over all the responsibilities, they worry about all the permits and approvals (...) They design the premises, the interior, and set up the machines. Everything is their responsibility. So, essentially, you get a ready-made package, you get the keys, and you enter a ready-made club," says Maciej Lutomski. "Everything, the entire know-how, the entire concept is thanks to Xtreme." Maciej Lutomski opened his first club in Zielonka, near Warsaw, just before New Year's Eve 2025. "For six weeks before the club's opening, we tried to acquire contacts—people who would be interested in buying a membership or coming to our gym. This is the period when you build your customer base," he relates. After three months of operation, the club already had nearly 800 active members. But, as the franchisee emphasizes, the work never ends. "It's not like you open a club, clients come, and that's it. That's when the real work begins. We constantly have to acquire clients and take care of the ones we have," adds Maciej Lutomski.
