Welcome to Episode 1 of our 12-part Ford Era Route 66 adventure. We're kicking off Hot Rod Power Tour at Route 66 Raceway in Joliet, Illinois before beginning an epic 2,500-mile journey along the historic Mother Road. Over the next two weeks, we'll drive classic Fords from Chicago to Santa Monica, explore iconic Route 66 landmarks, meet incredible enthusiasts, and discover some of the coolest Ford builds in America. In this episode, we arrive at Power Tour, meet up with Route 66 historian Brian Bohlander, visit legendary Route 66 destinations, and complete our first 100 miles on the Mother Road. We also take a deep dive into "Brownie," my newly transformed 1978 Ford F-150 built specifically for this cross-country adventure.
