Kawasaki Mule Pro-FXT 1000 Platinum Ranch Edition

The Kawasaki Mule PRO-FXT 1000 Platinum Rach Edition has lived up to the hype. After a full year (plus nearly a month) of daily use on the ranch, using it like we have never used a side by side, I am still thrilled with the purchase. We bought ours when the new body style was released. Beyond aesthetics, Kawasaki also made a few other engine and mechanical upgrades to the new Mule. When a company releases a redesigned product like this, recalls are not uncommon. There has been a recall on ours, but I have yet to take it in for the modifications to be made, per the recall. To my understanding, it is related to the air intake. It was probably marketing people from Polaris, Yamaha, or Can-Am who started rumors about Mules blowing up, blowing the recall out of proportion. Even with the hassle of a recall, I am thrilled with the overall performance of the Mule. We upgraded from an older Polaris Ranger. It was a SIGNIFICANT upgrade. This engine is ridiculously powerful and surprisingly quiet. Lady and I can easily have a conversation while cruising through the pastures (without raising voices or leaning in to hear what the other person is saying). I have also been impressed with the payload capacity, towing capability, off-road capabilities, and durability of the finishes (including leather seats). Our dogs have ridden in the front and back seats every day. The material on the seats looks as though it could be easily scratched or torn, but you will not see any evidence of dogs, sharp objects, or heavy use. Great job Kawasaki! They bought a Platifum, but added a windshield and turn signals. Their daily use is cruising the beaches on the Texas Gulf Coast, near their home. They upgraded from a similar Yamaha model and shared it performs much better on streets and is smooth and quiet by comparison, but still more powerful than the Yamaha, by a good margin.
