How to replace the Transmission interlock switch on MGB (Without removing the engine)

in a previous video I inadvertently broke a tab off the transmission interlock switch. Turns out that is quite a task to replace. manual says to pull the engine and trans to gain access. I am sure there are a lot of broken switches out there that people have decided to just live with because of the trouble to replace.
