Volkswagen Atlas Haldex Fluid Service DIY (2018-2021 VW MQB Atlas, Arteon, Tiguan)

►The Haldex system provides the all-wheel-drive capability in VW vehicles, but it will break without service. Haldex pump filters are notorious for clogging, even at relatively regular intervals, so replacing your fluid on time is crucial to this sensitive system. The replacement process is simple mechanically, but you will need a capable scanner to tell you the temperature of the Haldex fluid, so be sure you have that before starting the process. Volkswagen only specifies a service interval for the Haldex in terms of years; three to be specific. In mileage numbers, around a maximum of 40,000 before it will need immediate replacement.
