Abdusattorov's Technique Tames Maghsoodloo's Taimanov

This is an excellent chess game between Nodirbek Abdusattorov and Parham Maghsoodloo from Uzchess Cup 2025. In response to Maghsoodloo’s Sicilian Taimanov, Abdusattorov plays 6.Qd3, eyeing the g3 outpost. After Black recaptures on c6 with the queen, the focus quickly shifts to the d6 weakness. Maghsoodloo’s 8...Ne7 concedes a lasting positional edge, and Abdusattorov methodically presses the advantage. He provokes several weaknesses near Black's king, maintains the pressure, and eventually benefits from an unforced error.
