Meanwhile, Gohan and Krillin gathered the Dragon Balls to revive Piccolo and summon him to Namek. Piccolo fought Frieza, but after his several transformations, even Piccolo didn't stand a chance against him. Vegeta was also defeated. Goku recovered and tried to fight, but Frieza was too strong. During the battle, Krillin was killed. Enraged, Goku ascended to become a Super Saiyan. though he defeated Frieza, he was caught in Namek's explosion and went missing...
