Love, Sabeen wisted Chocolate Bread Wreath Soft inside, crusty outside — this Turkish-style chocolate bread is perfect for tea time! Layered with cocoa dough, chocolate spread, and chocolate chips, it's as fun to make as it is to eat. Ingredients: 5 cups all-purpose flour 1 tbsp instant yeast (check expiry) 3 tbsp sugar (adjust to taste) 1 tsp salt 2 eggs 2 tbsp cocoa powder (for half the dough) 1½ cups warm milk (add more if dough is stiff) ½ cup oil ½ cup chocolate spread ¼ cup chocolate chips or nuts 1 egg yolk (for brushing) Instructions: Make Dough: Mix all ingredients (except cocoa) into a smooth dough. Divide in half. Mix cocoa into one half to make chocolate dough. Let both rise until doubled. Roll & Layer: Flatten both doughs into rectangles. Layer chocolate over plain, spread chocolate spread, and sprinkle chips. Shape: Roll into a log, cut lengthwise, twist into a wreath shape, and place in a greased round cake tin. Final Rise: Let rest for 20–30 mins. Brush with egg yolk. Bake: Preheat to 350°F (175°C) Bake 15 mins at 350°F, then reduce to 325°F (160°C) Bake until cooked through (about 15–20 more mins) Cover with foil if browning too fast Cool: Cover with a clean towel after baking to keep soft.
