Socialize your puppy during Covid-19 isolation. Many ideas on how to raise a puppy staying home!

My Bernese Mountain Dogs show many ways you can give your puppy the best socialization while we can't go and actually socialize our puppies with people during this pandemic. Make sure your puppy trusts everyone in your home. Change your appearance, your smell and how you move around. Get your puppy used to different things, use treats and happy rewards to keep it fun. The idea is to get them used to things, not scare them. Go in your front yard and watch delivery people, mail person, people walking buy, treat and help them learn the outside world is safe and okay. Teach them to sit when people come to the house, great for teaching manners as they will learn they don't get pet by everyone. If you do leave your house, take the puppy with you, let them see and hear different people and sounds and noises, always have treats. Get creative, bring out holiday decorations for visual distractions make sure to keep it fun and happy, if it's too scary...stop and try a week or two later. Make sure you love on your puppy and get them used to friendly hands everywhere, ears, tummy, tail, mouth...My next video will be on how to entertain your puppy, this is to socialize!
