Wild Trout & Campfires (Nova Scotia Backwoods)

We paddled deep into the Nova Scotia backwoods to hunt for wild trout. Even with a stiff breeze making the lake fishing a challenge, the brookies were fired up and the campfire lunch was exactly what we needed! There’s no such thing as a "perfect" day in the backcountry, but this came pretty close. My buddy and I loaded up the canoe and headed into the wilderness. It was a breezy one, making the paddle and the casting a bit of a workout, but the effort paid off. We explored a mix of sheltered streams and open lake water, landing and releasing a bunch of beautiful, feisty Nova Scotia Brookies. After battling the wind, we tucked into the trees for a solid campfire meal before the long trek back to the truck. #novascotia #brooktrout #flyfishing #goprohero10 #redington
