Joy Museba - The God Identity

This sermon, preached at The Sunday Experience by Joy Museba, revisits the Gospel of the Kingdom through the lens of Genesis 1:26 and God’s original intent for humanity. Drawing from Scripture, the message establishes that just as birds were created for the air and fish for the sea, humans were created for the earth with a mandate to dominate. Worship, while essential, was not the original assignment. Dominion was. The teaching confronts the long-held heaven-only mindset of salvation and repositions humanity as God’s agents on earth, created in His image and likeness to extend His rulership here and now. Psalm 115:16 anchors this truth by affirming that while heaven belongs to God alone, the earth was given to the sons of men. The sermon goes deeper into the subject of identity, showing how dominion is directly tied to knowing who you are. From Adam in Genesis to Jesus in the wilderness, the enemy’s strategy is exposed as an attack on identity rather than behavior. Believers are challenged to recover their God-identity, not merely their sonship, and to stop living as victims in a realm they were designed to rule. Using scriptures such as Psalm 82:6 and Exodus 7:1, the message calls for restoration of what was truly lost in the fall — dominion. This teaching is a bold call to shift mindset, reject validation culture, and consciously exercise authority in every system of the earth, understanding that salvation brings heaven to man, but dominion brings heaven to earth.
