Hike to Stuðlagil Canyon in Iceland

Explore Stuðlagil Canyon in East Iceland. It is one of the hidden gems in East Iceland. Studlagil Canyon is in the Glacier Valley called Jökuldalur. Park your car at Klaustursel farm and walk across the bridge and hike for about 3 miles one way to reach the basalt columns area. Follow the gravel road to the right (south) and the river to the canyon. About halfway, there is a waterfall on the basalt columns. There are a couple minor water crossings.
