Washington Elementary Fruit and Vegetable Contest

Thanks to Nutrition Services, students at Washington Elementary got to enjoy a competition between their principal and select representatives of the fruit and vegetable community. Blindfolded contestants had to guess what they were tasting. Each correct answer added points to the winner's total. Because their principal won, the school was awarded $500. As participants in the Fruit and Vegetable program, the students also get to sample fruits and vegetables that may by new to them.
