Taroman and director Ryo Fujii take the stage! We bring you the Tokyo-wide caravan stage greeting for "Taroman: Expo 2020"! This film is the theatrical version of NHK Educational TV's special effects mockumentary program "TAROMAN: Taro Okamoto-style Special Effects Action Drama," which is inspired by the works and quotes of artist Taro Okamoto. Set in 1970, a Japan amid the excitement of the World Expo, the Earth Defense Force (CBG) and the giant Taroman face off against a strange beast from the future. Following on from "TAROMAN: Taro Okamoto-style Special Effects Action Drama," Ryo Fujii returns as director and screenwriter. Ichiro Yamaguchi of the rock band Sakanaction also stars in the film. Synopsis In 1970, while Japan is in the midst of excitement over the opening of the World Expo, a terrifying strange beast arrives from the future in 2025. To defeat the rampaging beasts that threaten to destroy the World Expo, the Earth Defense Force (CBG) and the giant Taroman head to the future with the help of a person from the future to gain the power to defeat them.
