TUL mechanical pencil vs Pentel Quicker Clicker reviewed by John V. Karavitis ****Hey, sorry about the video ending when it did. **** BOTTOM LINE: The TUL is now my default mechanical pencil for taking notes. Also, what I did not get a chance to mention in the video is that, with the semi-automatic lead advance, THE TUL FEELS LIKE I'M USING A PEN! Great mechanical pencil. I think I read on the Web that Office Max introduced this back in 2014 (?), but now Office Max is part of Office Depot; and when I look for this mechanical pencil on Amazon, I see "TUL Pentel," so maybe Pentel bought them (?). Your thoughts and comments are welcome. P.S. Don't ever buy a mechanical pencil that costs more than $5. You do NOT get anything for the extra money. I was given a Rotring many years ago as a gift from a supervisor, it lasted less than a year. Even the Quicker Clicker will last you many many years. ***********************************************READ THIS***************************** EDIT: My TUL broke today, 3/3/2020. I have my backup, but I am disappointed. Looks like the lead got jammed inside, and nothing feeds through. Luckily, I had my Quicker Clicker at hand. SECOND EDIT: It's 3/4/2020. Using a paper clip, and a lot of pounding of the pencil against the top of my desk, I was able to clear out all the jammed pencil lead (graphite) and reload. It looks like my TUL is working again.
