🇭🇰홍콩 20시간 레이오버🇭🇰 홍콩 경유해서 발리 가기
Before heading to Bali, I had a 20-hour layover in Hong Kong. After a slightly intense experience in China, I didn’t expect much from Hong Kong. On top of that, my flight was delayed, so I arrived late in the evening. The restaurant I planned to visit was closed, and I even missed the famous egg tarts 😂 Still, my first meal in Hong Kong was wonton noodles at Tsim Chai Kee — a solid start. I also stopped by Mark’s Cafe, where people were lining up, and luckily, the day I arrived was the Hong Kong fireworks festival. The Avenue of Stars was packed with people. After enjoying the night view, I walked through Temple Street Night Market and ended the night at Lan Kwai Fong. I had high expectations, but the vibe felt like a smaller Itaewon. Lots of narrow alleys filled with tiny pubs — perfect for sitting down and having a beer 🍺 Later, I went to Yung Hing, a 24-hour spot popular with locals. I ordered Mapo Tofu and sweet & sour pork… Honestly, the spices were a bit too strong for me 😅 The Mapo Tofu wasn’t my favorite, and the sweet & sour pork tasted more like Korean fried chicken. After some sleep, I had breakfast at Australia Dairy Company — tomato noodles and milk tea French toast. A bit sweet, but definitely crowd-pleasing. Now I understand why people call it a “hangover ramen.” Then it was back to the airport, relaxing at the Plaza Premium Lounge, before boarding my flight to Bali ✈️ Hong Kong felt completely different from China. Way better than I expected.
