Perhaps the most impressive recording made by the great soprano Luisa Tetrazzini, this "Bel raggio lusinghier", now in cleaned and improved sound, got to capture the power, clarity, youthfulness and ease of Tetrazzini's voice. Her solid low register impresses for such a lyrical and high voice, and she has a very well connected vocal range from firm chest notes to vibrant and rich top notes. The coloratura, of course, is still one of the best references for the entire 20th century.
