Amerton Signalbox and operations
Amerton Signalbox located at the Amerton farm is a quirky little operation, run as a loop around the farm the ex North Staffordshire Railway Signalbox has recently been restored to control the yard and shed and the railway is adding the finishing touches to control the level crossing access to the station plus some extra signals. We get to see inside the Signalbox, it’s plc driven circuitry ,the lever frame and some of the signalling which the railway has mostly built itself in house including cranks.
