Naukowcy z AGH wspomogą Rumię

The cooperation agreement was formally signed on June 29th in Rumia. The documents were signed by AGH UST Vice-Rector for Student Affairs Rafał Dańko and Mayor Michał Pasieczny. The signed agreement envisages cooperation primarily in the areas of energy security, cybersecurity, and the circular economy. In practice, this cooperation will encompass a wide range of engineering, investment, and research and development activities. AGH UST scientists will support Rumia with their experience, preparing specialized technical and economic analyses, feasibility studies, expert opinions, and documentation for municipal projects. Both parties also agreed to develop technical concepts and conduct joint research on modern low-emission technologies, renewable energy sources, as well as smart grid management systems and energy storage. An important element of the agreement is the joint application for funding from European Union programs and national funds earmarked for innovation. The partnership will also bring tangible benefits to residents and local entrepreneurs, for whom seminars, workshops, and promotional and educational conferences will be organized. Students and doctoral candidates from the Krakow University will also benefit, as they will be able to complete internships and work on theses based on real-world, urban projects in Rumia.
