A Fly Fishing Trip in Hokkaido. This early summer saw little rain, and the streams of northern Hokkaido were enveloped in cool, refreshing air. The clear streams deep in the mountains were so pleasantly cool that you could almost feel a chill. Even in the slightly low water conditions, the char and rainbow trout were full of energy. More than the catch, the moments of interaction and the scenery left a lasting impression. The stream was just the right size for a 9ft rod. While there were some technically challenging spots, the time spent laughing with friends and surrendering to nature was the ultimate luxury! A special moment that Hokkaido's streams offer, something you can only experience during the short summer. I want to come back next year to see these streams, the trout, and my precious friends again! A Flyfishing Journey in Hokkaido. Some technical spots kept things interesting, but sharing laughter with friends and immersing ourselves in nature made it an incredibly special experience.
