Wie war das Leben als Tyrannosaurus Rex im Erdzeitalter der Oberen Kreide?

Welcome to History Check! What you can expect in this video: Tyrannosaurus (Latinized from Ancient Greek τύραννος týrannos ["ruler, despot"] and σαῦρος saúros ["lizard"]) is a genus of bipedal, carnivorous dinosaurs belonging to the theropod group. The only universally recognized species is Tyrannosaurus rex, often abbreviated to T. rex, or colloquially T-rex. This species, as the most famous dinosaur, is a staple of popular culture. However, some paleontologists consider Tarbosaurus bataar from Asia to be a second species. Several other genera of North American tyrannosaurids have also been described as synonyms of Tyrannosaurus. A 2022 study, which sparked controversy in scientific circles, proposed two additional species, Tyrannosaurus imperator and Tyrannosaurus regina, based on the high anatomical variability of Tyrannosaurus fossils. To date, more than 30 Tyrannosaurus specimens have been identified, including some nearly complete skeletons. Soft tissue and proteins have been described from at least one of these fossils. The relatively large number of finds has allowed for studies of the animal's biology, including individual development and biomechanics. Further topics of discussion include the feeding habits, physiology, and possible speed of Tyrannosaurus. The total number of Tyrannosaurus ever to have lived is estimated at 2.5 billion. Tyrannosaurus fossils have been found in various rock formations in western North America, dating back to the last three million years of the Cretaceous period, approximately 68 to 66 million years ago (late Maastrichtian). Tyrannosaurus was thus among the last non-avian dinosaurs to exist until the Cretaceous-Paleogene mass extinction. In this video, we'll take a closer look at the life of a Tyrannosaurus Rex in 67 million years BC! Note The use of images and videos in this video is subject to: 1. US Fair Use 2.
