Denon DN-D4000 laser replacement (Pt.2 /4) - Removing the CD mechanism
In these videos I'm going to show you how to quickly, easily and cheaply replace the laser unit in a Denon DN-D4000 twin CD player. Typically you'll want to do this when a drive is giving constant disk errors. The laser pickup you'll need to order is a "SANYO SF-P101N 16-pin" (not the 15 pin version). These are available cheaply on ebay and other places on the web (ranging from £7 to £35, beware of fakes, get an assurance it's a genuine SANYO part from a reputable electronics supplier). This DIY replacement should take you just over half an hour and could save you £200 on a shop repair. As with anything, you work on your own equipment at your own risk. 2nd of 4 videos (video split due to youtube's 10 minute time constraint).
