Bruno started his first business at 16, but that wasn't what made him a natural entrepreneur. What has made him a great entrepreneur since childhood is his thinking and behavior. Entrepreneurship isn't about a profession, about having a business, about having multiple ideas, or about taking any kind of risk. Entrepreneurship is about never being satisfied with the status quo. It means always seeking innovation and wanting to change how things work. Let's imagine the mindset of some entrepreneurs of the past: Henry Ford was dissatisfied with the standard form of transportation. It was from this dissatisfaction that the automobile was born. Steve Jobs refused to accept that computers were equipment only for large companies. Today, it is impossible to imagine society without computers. This is entrepreneurship. Bruno separated 5 fundamental elements of entrepreneurship. See: 1- Vision Entrepreneurs see further and differently than other people. When they have an idea, they envision people's lives after their idea is implemented. Entrepreneurs see far ahead. 2- Planning Ability Entrepreneurs need to be able to take this idea from the future and bring it to the reality of the present. They are able to take the idea and put it on a sheet of paper. Thousands of great businesses have emerged from notes on sheets of paper. Entrepreneurs can create an action and execution plan for their idea. 3- Courage Being an entrepreneur requires courage. Courage to do what no one else believes. Courage to take risks. But it's not just any kind of courage. It's not the same courage that a professional who works at risk of death needs. An entrepreneur's courage involves time, reputation, and money. Ideas that can change the world are often discarded because they lack a good execution plan. Entrepreneurs are willing to take these risks. The only risk they're not willing to take is that of losing this opportunity. The risk of never realizing their dream, of never seeing the business they dream of come to fruition. Entrepreneurs take calculated risks to see their idea come to fruition. 4- Competence Entrepreneurs have the ability to accomplish these things, to manage and build a team. They have the ability to convey their vision to a few people who will believe in them and want to follow them on their journey. They have the ability to execute, to achieve. We're not talking about technical ability. Entrepreneurs don't have to be the ones to get their hands dirty. They're the ones who lead people to get their hands dirty. This requires a series of learning experiences and improvements. Learning is part of the skill set. Entrepreneurs are constantly learning. 5- Resilience No one succeeds in entrepreneurship the first time. The companies you most admire in the world, like Apple, Google, and Microsoft, struggled for years before they managed to thrive. Resilience is essential. It's the ability to take a beating and stay in the game. It won't be easy. You'll fall many times, and if you don't have resilience, you'll give up and never see your idea come to fruition. These are the five main elements of entrepreneurship. Did you like it?
