The national park has breathtaking views of pristine forests. Amazing landscape in autumn season is a paradise for Bird watcher Trekkers and Nature lovers. Place is home for a variety wildlife. Himalayan Bear, Himalayan Langoors, Kashmiri Stag (Hangul), Foxes, Leopards and many small species. National park has two parts Upper Dachigam and lower Dachigam. Hangul and Langoors can be spotted in upper Dachigam. Every year many birdwatchers come to visit in the month of January when national park is covered with snow. Galwan river flowing through national park is a lifeline of the park and a major water source for Srinagar city.
