Another topic of debate: the recent statements by Burkina Faso's President Ibrahim Traoré. After denouncing Africa's industrial dependence, he returned to the subject of Arab-Muslim slavery, remarks widely reported, and sometimes praised, by several media outlets and figures on the French far right. Why such a resonance? What does this political exploitation reveal?
