Five years on, we revisit his journey to find out where life has taken him, and whether his dream of a professional football career became reality. Originally filmed in 2002, documentary filmmaker Alistair Scott, working alongside cameraman Douglas Campbell, spent a year embedded in the Raploch community producing a landmark BBC Scotland series that followed the lives of local residents. At the time, Raploch had a tough reputation, and the series focused on children and young people growing up in the area. Now, five years later, the filmmakers return to revisit the families and see how their lives have changed and what the future holds for Raploch as it enters a period of transformation.
