Stuck at Sea in a Trimaran Sailboat.

Our Searunner Trimaran Sailboat, Barbara Jean, caused quite the stir at Fiesta Key during Tropical Storm Fred when she decided to take to sea alone. After some help from our friends at @trynsomethingnew we got her back to safety in the harbor. However, our sailboat troubles weren't over just yet for our troublemaking Trimaran. Following the Tropical Storm Fred debacle, we decided it was best to remove our sailboat from the water for the remainder of hurricane season as we were heading back to Oklahoma for the fall. We planned to have our trimaran sailboat lifted from the water and placed on the safety of the dry land for the remainder of the season. But before we could get our sailboat out of the water, we got stuck at sea in the dark thanks to some lobster traps, sandbars, and low nighttime sailing visibility. Here is a recap of our adventures aboard the Barbara Jean Searunner Trimaran during Tropical Storm Fred, moving from Fiesta Key to Key Largo, hitting a lobster trap, handling some rough seas, running into a sandbar at night, being towed in by Sea Tow and finally having our 31-foot trimaran sailboat lifted out of the water! Stay tuned for our next video with the drama that ensued with our Fifth Wheel on our return home from the Florida Keys to Oklahoma. ⛵By Land Or By Sea Family
