Solar Express Car Wash

After decades of operating self serves and a few IBAs in the East Bay, The Solar Car Wash is now embracing the exterior express model. They tore down their San Pablo Ave self serve in Berkeley and built their first express tunnel on the property. The wash tunnel has a 150' STI dual belt conveyor, equipped with Belanger equipment, including a flipping V-jet high pressure prewash arch, 2 top brushes, 2 sets of QuickFire wraps with the new arm and carriage assembly, LSW and FSW side washers, DuoScrubbers, and DuraShiner CF tire shiners with the new brush design instead of pads. Solar has a 6 producer Aerodry drying system with the producers in a separate room for noise reduction. I filmed this on Solar Express's second day of operation, so they were still dialing in the equipment and chemistry. Solar Express uses NCS Vehicle Care chemicals, and their top package includes tri color, ArmorAll Professional Extreme Shine Wax, Rain-X, ArmorAll Professional Ceramic Seal, wheel cleaning, and tire shine (disabled during my visit).
