Harve Presnell, They Call The Wind Mariah, early version 1965
Harve Presnel (1933 – 2009) recorded several versions of the song. This early one, from his album "Echoes of The Old West"' 1965 has a different accompaniment and unlike the other later version (1969), he is ending it with an impressive high ''falsetto'' notes. Rufus Smith, in the 1951 Broadway cast recording of the musical, ends the song with a low note. From the album "New Echoes Of The Old West"; Harve Presnell is accompanied by Geoff Love and his Orchestra & The Lisa Grey Singers.
