BUILD Series, Part 4 | Love In Action Often, we assume that someone who attends church, sings hymns, understands the Bible, and speaks Christian language has genuine faith. But Jesus reminds us in Matthew 25 that true faith is not merely verbal confession of Him, but whether our lives have truly been transformed by Him. When the life of Jesus enters us, our perspective on others begins to change. We begin to see those who are easily overlooked: the hungry, lonely strangers, those who have lost their dignity, the sick, and those imprisoned. We no longer simply feel sorrow for them, but are willing to approach them and respond to their needs with concrete actions. Therefore, this message is not telling us that salvation is obtained through good deeds; rather, it asks us: When we say we follow Jesus, has His love truly lived out in our lives? When we place food in the hands of the hungry, when we reserve a seat for a stranger, when we accompany the sick, when we go behind walls to care for the forgotten, we are not merely doing good deeds, but showing others what Jesus is like. Because the world may hear the gospel from our mouths, but often truly understands it through our outstretched hands. True faith not only allows others to hear us speak of Jesus, but also to see Jesus in our lives.
