I've decided to put the answers to the most frequently asked questions here: 1. The motor power coil needs 0.1 mm thick nichrome wire, about 130 cm long. The resistance should be 180 ohms. 2. Thicker nichrome wire is possible, but there won't be room to wind it; it will be much longer. 3. A resistor is possible, but a resistor of that power won't fit, and it also needs to be cooled. I've already repaired a hair dryer; there was a problem with the board—several elements burned out—but I successfully fixed it. This hair dryer turned out to be fairly simple in terms of electronics, but the electronics weren't the culprit.
