We return to London with a walk around Shepherd's Bush, starting with a stroll through Shepherd's Bush Market before heading out down Uxbridge Road then onto Shepherd's Bush Green. The name Shepherd's Bush is derived from its origins in the 19th century as a resting point for shepherds in west London on their way to Smithfield Market in the City of London (east of Westminster) which to this day serves as a functioning meat market.
