In this History Exam Preparation we deal with History Source Based questions as well as a few tips on how to perform better in your test or exams. How USEFUL(Reliable) is the Source to a historian? 2. How does Source A SUPPORT Source B...? 3. Using the sources and your own knowledge COMMENT on... Tips: 1. Read and understand the question - see if its a question or Instruction. 2. Look at the Mark allocation. If it says (2 x 2 = 4) then it means for that question give 2 responses, 2 marks for each response. 3. in Source based tests there are 15 marks that are easy to pick up. they are known as the Low Hanging Fruits. These questions require learners to give Definitions, Quote directly from the Source, Name, Recall and Describe by looking at sources or illustrations. 4. HAVE AN OPINION! Giving your opinion shows that you understand the topic. If you do not give your own opinion/analysis based on the Sources (as evidence) then you will not win this fight. Credits.
