#PastorKimKwanSung #LowWallBaptistChurch #LowWallChurch #LighthouseUlsan #WednesdayService #WednesdayMorningService #LiveService [1 Kings 6:1-38] 1 In the four hundred and eighty years since the Israelites came out of Egypt, in the fourth year of Solomon’s reign as king of Israel, in the month of Ziv—the second month—Solomon began to build the temple for the Lord. 2 The temple that King Solomon built for the Lord was sixty cubits long, twenty cubits wide, and thirty cubits high. 3 The portico in front of the sanctuary was twenty cubits long, the same as the width of the temple, and its width was ten cubits from the front of the temple. 4 He made fixed windows with frames for the temple. 5 And he built upper chambers all around the walls of the temple, that is, the sanctuary and the Most Holy Place; and in every upper chamber he made chambers all around. 6 The width of the lower upper chamber was five cubits, and the width of the middle upper chamber was six It is a cubit, and the width of the third level is seven cubits. A ledge was made around the outside of the temple walls so that the beams of the chambers would not be driven into the temple walls. 7 When this temple was built, the stones were shaped at the quarry and brought to the temple; therefore, during the construction, no sound of a hammer, axe, or any iron tool was heard inside the temple. 8 The door of the middle level chamber is on the right side of the temple, and by a spiral staircase, one ascends from the lower level to the middle level and from the middle level to the third level. 9 The construction of the temple was finished. The temple was covered with cedar rafters and planks. 10 And around the whole temple, a chamber was built five cubits high, connected to the temple by cedar beams. 11 The word of the LORD came to Solomon, saying: 12 "Now that you are building this temple, if you follow my statutes, observe my ordinances, and keep all my commandments and do them, I will surely fulfill to you what I said to your father David." And he said, “I will dwell among the children of Israel and will not forsake my people Israel.” 14 When Solomon finished building the temple, 15 he covered the inner walls of the temple, from the floor to the ceiling, with cedar planks, and laid the floor of the temple with cypress planks. 16 He also made the inner sanctuary, the Most Holy Place, by partitioning it with cedar planks from floor to ceiling at a place twenty cubits from the back of the temple. 17 The outer sanctuary, the sanctuary, which was in front of the inner sanctuary, was forty cubits long. 18 The cedar planks covering the inside of the temple were carved with gourds and blooming flowers, and all was cedar, so no stone was visible. 19 He prepared an inner sanctuary in the temple to place the ark of the covenant of the Lord. 20 The interior of the inner sanctuary was twenty cubits long, twenty cubits wide, and twenty cubits high; it was covered with pure gold, and the cedar altar was also covered. 21 Solomon covered the inside of the outer sanctuary with pure gold, and in front of the inner sanctuary, with gold chains He crossed over and overlaid the inner sanctuary with gold. 22 When he had finished overlaying the whole temple with gold, he overlaid the entire altar belonging to the inner sanctuary with gold. 23 He made two cherubim of olive wood in the inner sanctuary, each ten cubits high. 24 One cherubim's wing was five cubits high, and the other's wing was five cubits high; from the tip of one wing to the tip of the other was ten cubits. 25 The other cherubim was also ten cubits high; the two cherubim were of the same size and like appearance. 26 The height of this cherubim was ten cubits, and the height of that cherubim was the same. 27 Solomon placed the cherubim in the center of the inner sanctuary, and their wings were spread out; the wing of this cherubim touched this wall, and the wing of that cherubim touched that wall, and the two wings touched each other in the center of the temple. 28 He overlaid the cherubim with gold. 29 On all four walls of the inner sanctuary, he carved the images of cherubim, palms, and blooming flowers. 30 The floor of the inner and outer temple was overlaid with gold. 31 At the entrance to the inner sanctuary, He made doors of olive wood, and the doorposts and lintels were one-fifth of the wall. 32 On the two doors of olive wood he carved cherubim, palms, and blooming flowers, and overlaid them with gold, that is, he overlaid the cherubim and palms with gold. 33 He also made doorposts of olive wood for the outer door, which were one-fourth of the wall. 34 The two doors were cypress wood; this door was made to fold in two, and that door was made to fold in two. 35 On the doors he carved cherubim, palms, and blooming flowers, and overlaid them with gold, fitting to the carvings. 36 He also made an inner courtyard by surrounding it with three layers of hewn stone and one ...
