UNBOX (แกะกล่อง) : Solid State Logic SSL1 ตัวเล็กแต่ฟังก์ชั่นไม่เล็ก #ssl1 #solidstatelogic

SSL has introduced a new audio interface called the SSL 1, a smaller sibling to the SSL 2 MKII and SSL 2+ MKII. This time, the focus is not on adding more channels, but on making the unit smaller, more portable, and better suited for real-world mobile use. The interface features a single Mic Preamp with SSL’s signature 4K Mode, adding the familiar character and presence that many users know from its bigger siblings. Channel 2 supports Instrument / Hi-Z Input as well as Line Input, making it easy to plug in a guitar or connect external gear directly. It connects via USB-C and also includes an additional Power Input for situations where devices like an iPad or other portable setups cannot provide enough bus power. It’s a small detail, but it clearly shows that SSL is paying more attention to mobile and out-of-studio workflows this time around. Another interesting update is the inclusion of converters supporting up to 32-bit / 192 kHz, matching the higher-end models. This brings more modern performance in terms of dynamic range and headroom. . Personal thoughts: This doesn’t feel like SSL is trying to directly replace the SSL 2 MKII. Instead, it feels more like an entry point into the SSL ecosystem for new users. The channel count may be limited, but in exchange you get a smaller footprint and a much more convenient experience for mobile production setups. ________________________________________________________________________
