Modelling a Helmholtz coil using Comsol Multiphysics
This tutorial shows how a Helmholtz coil can be modelled using a 2D axisymmetric model in Comsol Multiphysics v5.6. The coil is supplied with DC current and the static magnetic field distribution is obtained. To construct the geometry correctly, make sure that the axial distance between the coils is equal to the major radius of the coil (this is the definition of a Helmholtz coil).
