ABANDONED Mansion With LUXURY Cars And EVERYTHING Left Behind

In one of the most prominent neighborhoods in the southern United States, sits an abandoned mansion unlike anything I've ever seen. Inside, time has stood still. Rare personal letters from presidents, popes, and British nobility still hang on the walls. And their cars - a classic Mustang, and a Jaguar XK140 Roadster, one of fewer than 10,000 ever made. Completed in the year 1912, this mansion sits on 9 acres of pristine land, and from 1953 to 1966, it served as the residence of Vanderbilt University’s chancellors, before being purchased by the man who would leave the greatest mark on its history - Donald Cohen. After moving to America after graduating from college, he built a lifetime career in architecture that shaped many famous buildings around the United States. In 1989, after a divorce, he married Ruth Roberts, a woman who came from an immensely wealthy automotive family who had worldwide connections. From then on, the mansion wasn't just a home, but also a meeting place for the world’s elites and top-class people. But in 2018, tragedy struck when Donald passed away inside the estate, leaving the home to Ruth, and therefore starting a battle for the property, which started from his children from his first marriage. For 7 years after, the home sat empty, uncared for, and untouched, slowly falling into decay. Recently, though, it was purchased by a church, which plans on using the large property for a parking lot. The mansion’s fate, however, is uncertain, and I can only hope that it, as well as everything inside, is saved. Come along as we take a rare view inside it, before its fate changed forever.
