All About Egypt's Maadi MISR & ARM AK47 Rifles

Today we talk about the history of Egypt's domestically manufactured AKM. This rifle has gone by several names over the years, including MISR, ARM, or just 'Maadi.' Here we talk about how Soviet-Russia established Factory #54 outside of Cairo, get into why Anwar Sadat broke tighs with the Comblock, and end with Egypt's decision to ally itself with America and the West. Then we discuss the various semi-auto Maadis that have been imported into the USA; such as those from Steyr, Intrac, PARS, and Century Arms International. Names for these civilian versions include: ARM, RML, RPM, MISR, MISR10, MISR-SA, and the dreaded MISR90. Featured in this video is my own Intrac ARM rifle, with original Egyptian paratrooper side folding wire stock.
