Reading & Northern's Reading-to-Jim Thorpe train: walkthrough and ride highlights

Reading & Northern Railroad's all-day Reading-to-Jim Thorpe excursion trains return for the season on April 6, 2024. This ride takes passengers from Reading Outer Station in Reading, PA to Jim Thorpe, on the southern half of the RBMN mainline. The ride features a variety of terrain including river crossings, farm fields, small towns, a tunnel, a bridge with amazing views, lakes, and mountains. In this video, I'll show you where to pickup your tickets at Reading Outer Station, introduce you to the Rail Diesel Cars (RDCs), walk through RDC #9166, and check out the seating and other comforts.
