Ryokan Hanare is designed by architects Ulla Kastrup and Björn Sjunnesson. During the work of creating this suite, they have used the keywords of the tea ceremony; Harmony - Purity - Respect - Calmness. Here you get the feeling of being in a remote place among the mountains. If you want to come here unnoticed, there is a separate entrance. The new Ryokan bears the name Hanare, which in Japan is the name that the most exclusive and slightly secluded rooms often have. There are two bedrooms that are covered in genuine tatami mats, which are soft and pleasant to walk on. There is a futon on the floor, just like in Japan. The living room has a dining area that seats up to 6 people and a rock garden. The suite has hot springs both indoors and outdoors, as well as, a sauna. About Yasuragi: Yasuragi is a peaceful and serene luxury spa 20 minutes cab ride away from the city center of Stockholm. The spa also offers activities, such as meditation and yoga every day. Yasuragi encourages its guests to wear yukatas everywhere, including in the restaurant. The idea is that there’ll be no judgment if everyone’s dressed the same. And early indications suggest it works. The age limit at Yasuragi is 16, making the place even more peaceful. Photography is strictly not allowed in the public areas of Yasuragi Spa, so all footage is taken from our suite. Yasuragi is a luxury hotel, but not exactly the typical pretentious kind – but very authentically Japanese. So don’t expect to arrive to a luxury hotel in its typical form.
