starter locs | sisterlocks installation | microlocs journey thorough breakdown of my microloc grid pattern or in other words the layout of my locs. i show parting all around my head and even go into detail about how many locs i have on each row. i have a total of 260 locs but of course it looks like way more because of the way i parted my locs. when installing my microlocs i pretty much used a brick layer parting style. this means that the locs on the row above fall in between the locs on the row below ( compared to the locs falling directly on top of each other. don't worry, i go into detail about what brick layering is in the video, and i even show you examples. i chose this style parting because i knew i wanted a fuller look for my microlocs. when i used to braid hair i used this style of parting and it always made the braids look fuller even if there wasn't actually a lot of braids. doing a brick layer parting style definitely gave me the fullness i desired for my microlocs. i love how you can rarely ever see my scalp, even when i have a fresh retie. i didn't do a traditional sister lock grid pattern because i knew this method would give me the fullness i desired. i eyeballed my parting based on the size i wanted my locs to be. remember we all have different head shapes and sizes and hair texture and densities and all of these factors can lead to a different number of locs. cater to your hair and your head to truly get the best results when it comes to laying your grid for your micro locs. if you're thinking about starting your microlocs and needed assistance on your grid pattern or parting layout, i hope this video was resourceful. if i can do it, so can you! powerful. natural. free. is how i feel with my locs, what about you? comfy loc.d tshirts for all the loc queens: https://queentyquana.com/products/ori...
